I took this shot several years ago actually. But, on a day like today, rainy, with the window open, fresh air filtering in, this image came to mind. It always made me feel peaceful. I once submitted it to something and the critique was “It’s boring”. I almost said “Thank You!”. I remember I was vacationing in Tahoe and it had just rained. I had seen this small lake off the south side of the main lake and wanted to drive to it. So a friend of mine and I drove a half hour out through the muddy road to a deserted summer camp, climbed over the short, locked parking lot gate and walked down to the water’s edge to take this. It was pure peace. Much like sitting by a window listening to the rain.
